Enerjisa, Ozaltin - Cengiz to Build Hydroelectric Power Plant in Adana
In a written statement released yesterday, Enerjisa said it signed a partnership contract with Özaltın - Cengiz for
the construction of the Köprü and Menge hydroelectric power plants in Adana. The plants are planned to be built on
the river Seyhan. Menge is expected to be finished by 2011 while the Köprü plant is due to start serving by 2012.
Enerjisa said in the written statement that the company expects to take a 10 percent share of the Turkish
energy market by 2015 , having installed power plants with a capacity of 5 000 MW. "Sabancı and Verbund
look forward to having a voice in the Turkish energy market as well as to entering future energy tenders."
