Cindere and Beydağ Dams Start to Hold Water
Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) type dams, which have become widespread in parallel with
the increase in energy projects in our country, were first provided by Özaltın Holding through
the construction of Cindere Dam and HEPP in Denizli in 2002, which was completed in 2008.
Having a 1 950 000 m3 Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) volume, Cindere Dam shall make
great contributions to our country’s need for irrigated agriculture and energy.
In June 2006, Özaltın Holding started construction of the Roller Compacted Concrete
(RCC)-type body of Beydağ Dam. The daily amount of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) in
Construction of Beydağ Dam is 7500 m3 and the dam was built in 2 years, which is a short time frame.
Beydağ Dam, which is the biggest Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) -type Dam of Turkey with a
Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) volume of 2 700 000 m3 has taken place among the important
dams of the World.
