The project, with its contract signed in 2017, includes the construction of the Sivas-Zara section of the Sivas-Erzincan Railway Line, an extension of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Line, spanning 74.47 kilometers in length.

The Sivas-Erzincan railway project is a high-standard railway line, being constructed between the cities of Erzincan and Sivas in Türkiye. The line is planned to be a double-track electrified and signaled one, facilitating both freight and passenger transportation, with a track distance of 4.5 meters and a platform width of 14.5 meters. Designed for a maximum speed of 250 km/h, the line features a minimum curvature of 4,000 meters and a maximum slope of 1.6%.  The railway line intended to be further extended to Erzurum and Kars, ultimately integrating with the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway.
